Crash and Burn Studios was born from an overload of freelance work in 1986. Having worked for the Tampa Tribune and local advertising agencies, I attracted clients who were looking for something different than the typical ad agency with long lead times and the high prices. They craved and needed the same quality creative with quick response and affordable pricing. Along with more individualized attention to their projects. Back then these projects were called 'crash and burn jobs". Quick response with a high level of quality creative and execution. A "WHAM! POW! BANG!" kind of finished product. Crash and burn is also a symbol of my philosophy to pull out all stops to accomplish your goals by taking risks and reaping huge rewards. The worse that could happen is you go down in a blazing glory!
Rick Brown is a talented, creative, results-producing graphic design and marketing professional with 39+ years in planning and executing comprehensive graphic design and marketing strategies. Based in Tampa, Florida, I have worked on many different types of projects, with diverse clients and in various work environments. These experiences offered many directions to expanding my creative abilities. I am experienced at analyzing problems, developing creative ideas, which lead to finding innovative solutions to meet your business goals and objectives. My 30+ years as owner of Crash & Burn Studios, has expanded my leadership skills to effectively communicate with clients, management and vendors. I excel at organizational and time management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. My years of experience as a small business owner makes me able to manage multiple diverse projects under tight deadlines and to adhere to strict budgets.
I realized long ago that office space was just another expense to add to the overhead costs of creative production. Given the technology advancements of recent years, now most of the work, meetings and proofing is done through the internet. So I moved my studio into my dedicated home office, equipped with 3 computers, high speed internet and email. With this, I am able to accomplish every aspect of your projects from my dedicated home office with my dogs at my feet.
